Role Summary
As a Global Localization & Market Operations Specialist, you will be the cultural bridge for our games and marketing materials. You will adapt in-game content, store listings, and promotional campaigns to ensure they feel native and engaging in key markets. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about games, cultures, and operational excellence who wants to drive user growth in competitive international markets.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead localization efforts for in-game content (text, dialogue, UI, events) and in-store marketing materials (app store descriptions, screenshots, videos, ads) for North America, Japan, and LatAm markets.
· Conduct cultural adaptation and sensitivity reviews to avoid issues and maximize player engagement in diverse regions.
· Collaborate closely with game development, marketing, and publishing teams to align localization with product strategy and seasonal campaigns.
· Monitor market trends, player feedback, and competitor strategies in target regions, providing insights to optimize content and operations.
· Manage localization vendors/partners, review translations, and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
· Support live operations, including event planning, updates, and player support tailored to regional preferences.
· Analyze performance metrics (e.g., retention, conversion in different locales) and recommend data-driven improvements.
· Contribute to process improvements for scalable global publishing.
Requirements
· 5+ years of relevant experience in game operations, localization, publishing, or market adaptation (mobile games/apps preferred).
· Strong understanding of cultural nuances, trends, and player behaviours in North America, Japan, and/or Latin America.
· Excellent command of Mandarin and English. Proficiency in other languages is a strong plus.
· Passion for mobile games and apps with hands-on experience playing and analysing titles in target markets.
· Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and international environment.
· Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Experience with app store optimization (ASO), cultural QA, or marketing localization is highly desirable.
· Based in Hong Kong
