What this job involves:
Lead, train, and evaluate engineering staff, ensure adherence to client polices, conduct emergency drills, manage attendance, and hold regular operational meetings
Ensure reliable, safe and cost-effective operation of all critical engineering systems, prepare monthly performance reports and support annual budget planning with data-driven inprovement proposals
Maintain accurate records including asset registers, as built drawings, maintenance logs, and emergency / vendor contract lists, ensure all documentation meets client and regulatory requirements
Manage procurement process, contractor selection, performance reviews and maintain an up-to-date register of all maintenance contracts and service agreements
Oversee routine, preventive, and ad-hoc maintenance, conduct site inspections, manage work in critical areas (e.g., comms rooms), and ensure plant rooms and workspaces are kept safe and orderly
Manage 24/7 emergency call-out coverage, lead incident response coordination, and implement emergency recovery procedures (SOPs / EOPs) to restore critical systems promptly
Drive energy-saving and environmental initiatives, manage structured cabling systems per client guidelines, and ensure full compliance with health, safety and statutory regulations

Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering or a related field
At least 5 years of managerial experience in critical facility or engineering-focused facilities management (e.g. data centers, premium office buildings or financial sector environments)
Proven track record managing engineering operations in mission-critical environments such as investment banking premises, Tier III / IV data centers, or high-availability commercial facilities
Strong team leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills, able to build trust and work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors and senior stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly; consistently anticipates client needs through active listening and a service-oriented mindset
Demonstrates calm judgment, critical thinking, and attention to detail when managing incidents, emergencies, or high-pressure operational scenarios
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous learning and operational excellence
Fluent English (spoken and written); strong time-management abilities and a disciplined approach to ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in all tasks
