It was the worst interview process ever! It was a 5 month process because scheduling was difficult. I applied on Feb 13, heard from the recruiter 13 days later wanting to set up a phone screening. This interview followed 3 1-hour interviews over the phone with various members of the team in March, April and May. Then the original recruiter left and I was contacted by a new one taking over the process who wanted to "get to know me" and then set up two more interviews. There were all good conversations. All males and most of the them came from Uber. In the last interview I made the mistake of mentioning Lyft as an example of a values driven company and that sealed the deal for me. The interviewer came from Uber and was audible annoyed by my answer. He went on to share about the investors in Lyft and how Lyft is not what it seems: bad company, opportunistic PR tactics, republicans funding the business, etc. It was very awkward. I had to flat out take control of the interview but telling him that I'd love to discuss Lyft but I really want to share my experiences and skills. It was bad.
