I applied through other source. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at lululemon in Oct 2010
Interview
I applied for a part-time Educator position via their website. The next day, I received an email
from the manager asking if I was available for an interview; email didn't mention a group interview but I knew to expect one. I was asked to bring innovative ideas for getting involved in the community.
The casual interview took place at a coffee shop with the manager and assistant manager. All of the questions, job related. No one else showed up for group interview. The 2nd day after the interview, I received email saying they chose another candidate. I was dressed all in Lulu and got the complete head-to-toe look.
While I was speaking, the interviewers watched other people seated near us.
Advice to future candidates - be true to yourself. I agree with feedback from a past candidate, "I think it may be unrealistic to expect people to buy into Lululemon without actually being immersed in that working culture for a period of time. I will say that the staff I met with seemed very young and maybe to concerned with people fitting into a unrealistic box that they missed the gifts that people have to offer. I think it is great that Lululemon promotes goals and personal growth but the bottom line is no one would shop there if the product wasn't great. You can have a whole staff of goal oriented people but that doesn't necessarily mean they can sell or educate people on the product. I think there should be more focus on past work experience and personality..."
Fitness is my passion; I love sharing this passion with others. I am a motivated, upbeat and physically fit person actively certified to teach group fitness. Lulu has great products and I tout their quality frequently. I am still a believer in their product, but no longer the company.
