I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at iland (London, England) in Mar 2018
Interview
Completely disorganised backwards process. Too many stages to remember! 1st stage was a general HR chat, 2nd Stage was a technical panel interview with the US team. 3rd Stage was a call with the CTO who was great might I add. 4th Stage was 2 online personality based and IQ tests. 5th Stage was a face to face with around 5 members of the London team. By this point I was ready to give up. Then I was promoted to fill in an application form as they would love to get me on board. Once I returned the form I heard nothing for 2 weeks and then without any real explaination I was told they were going to go with another candidate. During the period of waiting I had accepted another offer but that is beside the point.
I believe it is because they couldn't meet my salary expectations! Firstly application form should come at the beginning of the process. As well as a rough idea of the salary bracket so the candidate can decide if it is worth then pursuing and you don't waste so much company time interviewing people who are not suitable. It proved to be a waste of time for everyone involved. Secondly there are way too many phases. Whole process was slow and took well over a month.
Frustrating experience but everyone I met was nice and I wish them all well.
The interview process needs to be improved though.
