I had a negative experience during the interview process. Initially, the interview was scheduled and confirmed, but the HR representative didn’t show up and failed to inform me of their absence. After I reached out to reschedule, the second interview was delayed without communication again. During the interview itself, the HR representative seemed uninterested and disengaged, which made the conversation feel more like a chore than a professional discussion. Despite my efforts to maintain a positive and productive tone, it felt one-sided. To top it off, the follow-up communication was unclear and passive, leaving me uncertain about whether I would proceed to the next round. This experience made me question the professionalism and organization of the hiring process. While I understand that everyone can have off days, a more respectful and engaged approach would reflect better on the company’s values.

The Chief Engineer and the Head of People were welcoming and amiable, providing a pleasant introduction to the process. However, the technical interview with the Chief Engineer appeared to be a bit disorganized. He presented a technical design question with minimal context, which felt like an attempt to gauge problem-solving skills without providing adequate information. It seemed as though the he was exploring if candidates could decipher complex problems on the spot, even without prior knowledge of their system. This approach can be demanding and may not accurately reflect a candidate's potential contributions to the company. Regarding the rejection email, it was a standard communication without personalized feedback.
