I'm writing this review because I had such a poor overall candidate experience that it makes me question how this company values people. To be objective, I must reveal that I don't really know anyone at this company and VP level roles are difficult to get a foot in the door if you don't. That being said, I fall in the top end of their qualifications for the role. To be different, I reached out to the recruiter who posted the job on LinkedIn, introduced myself and asked for 15 minutes to discuss the role so I could build a custom video of my vision for the hiring manager. No response. OK, whatever. I looked up the person's email and followed up. Days pass, finally get a response. Apply online. OK, whatever. The portal was pretty bad and for a company that sells recruiting talent management software that might be a tell, but, OK, whatever. I built a nice custom cover letter complete with a cool diagnostic survey embedded. I was unable to attach this so again I emailed the recruiter. No response. OK, whatever.
In parallel, I had reached out to the hiring manager. First email. No response. OK, whatever. Second email. No response. OK, whatever. Took matters into my own hands and dropped a 15 minute calendar invite on the manager's calendar for over a week out, complete with detailed agenda. Finally got a response to propose a new time which I accepted. So I get all duded up for my video call and spend about an hour preparing to make this a dynamic 15 minutes so I can ask for a follow on conversation. Seven minutes before the call I get a meeting decline notice from an admin. I followed up and guess what? No response.
So maybe they think I'm not as qualified as I think I am, but at this point, I don't even care. I've withdrawn my application and have zero interest in working for a company that values sincere efforts so little and does not have the personal care to even follow up after blowing off a meeting you accepted at a time you proposed. Whatever.
