Interview was in a relaxed room with 2 people, 1 technical in a similar role and a manager. Initial CV overview was undertaken to start with. Competency based questions followed which I felt were relevant the role and I answered to best of my ability. When asking about the role I felt both were very honest on what they required and why the role is required to be filled.
Second interview was with the owners of the company who I thought were very friendly and are running the company in the right direction. This was just a further general chat for the owners to get to know me a bit better and see what type of activities I would be able to undertake if giving the role.
I was not successful in this occasion which I was extremely gutted about as I felt this would have been a good company to work for and a good opportunity for me to further develop my career. The basis in which they gave is they felt I interviewed well, was confident, answered questions well and liked me as a person however, they felt I was over qualified and that the role would not challenge me enough. Bit frustrating as clearly I felt this was a role which would indeed challenge me and that I was not over qualified for however, I respect their opinion and I hope to get a second chance to join this company in a future role.
