Interview Questions
Application
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at fromAtoB (Berlin (Germany)) in January 2016.
Interview
Three presential meetings with HR, team lead and CTO.
Very open people, willing to know you better.
Were very clear about the company product and the expectations for the role.
In average, was a normal interview.
Interview Questions
Application
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at fromAtoB (Berlin (Germany)) in April 2019.
Interview
The process is simple and efficient:
1. a phone screening (about half hour),
2. a pair programming session (about 2 hours),
3. and an interview with the department lead.
That's it.
There is no take-home coding challenge that takes hours to finish, no sequential interview with lunch interview which takes at lease half day, even a whole day. In three short interviews, candidates can demonstrate their knowledge and experience, and also have a good chance to learn about the company, the culture and working environment.
During the process, the communication with the HR team is very good. They are supportive and friendly. You can see how professional they are from their emails.
Interview Questions
Application
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at fromAtoB (Berlin (Germany)) in April 2019.
Interview
Interview process consisted of 3 stages:
- on-line interview with an HR
- technical challenge followed by 1-on-1 on-site interview with the head of the team
- on-line interview with the head of the department
Throughout the process the HR team was very supportive and provided the feedback as soon as it was available.
A rare company which offers a beautifully designed technical challenge followed by in-depth discussion and constructive feedback.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at fromAtoB (Berlin (Germany)) in August 2018.
Interview
After applying online via their career website, I had an answer within one week from their HR department asking me for a first call. We spoke for about 45 minutes about the company and expectations towards the new employee for the HR team as well as about my motivation and work experiences.
After this call, they asked me to come in for a personal interview for which I was asked to prepare a short presentation about a work assignment I had in the past, so they could understand my work approach a bit better. In the interview, we talked further about fromAtoB and what they are searching for as well as my qualifications for the role. And of course I presented my work assignment.
Overall, I was supposed to be at the office for around 1,5 hours that day. Since I was interested in getting to know the company and the role better and the other HR employee had free time, I stayed overall way longer and we were talking about several topics in a very relaxed setup - it really didn't feel like an interview anymore but rather an exchange between future teammates.
Afterwards, I had one last interview with the Head of HR of their investing company. Due to the work relationship the HR role has to the investing company, they arranged this interview nearby to get to their final decision.
Already the day after the last interview the CEO called me, provided me feedback on my interviews and offered me the role.

Interview
I applied through a referral and was contacted via email initially, I then visited the office twice for meetings with relevant employees. I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at fromAtoB in November 2018.
Interview
There was few levels:
- hr (overall) : ~30-45 min
- first tech (overall + tech, android, java/kotlin, libraries, patterns, etc) : ~1,5 h
- second tech (pair programming session) : ~2h
- cto
All this process was very fast and professional, it take ~1,5 week from first message up to job offer (this is lightyear speed, comparativelly with big startaps and companies)
On all stages people was very pleasant, was interested more in personal staff like motivation, pation, habbits etc, than technicall, and it totally make sense for me!
Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at fromAtoB (Berlin (Germany)) in June 2019.
Interview
The process took 3 steps - 1) online meeting with team lead, 2) online meeting with 2 team members (ux designer, marketing manager), 3) on-site interview with team lead, hr manager and team members. During the first step I could introduce myself, tell about my experience and learn more about the company. In the 2nd step I had to prepare and present ux case based on one of my earlier projects. Third step was an on-site meeting - to check if we are a good match in terms of professional expectations, personality, company culture. All in all, 2nd step was the most difficult and required a lot of work on my behalf. Whole process was friendly and professional. I can definitely recommend the company.

Interview
THE recruitment process as it should be : smooth, efficient, with great communication and actual feedbacks.
Overall the process took 7 weeks, considering the seniority of the position and the fact that I was not based in Germany, it's really good.
After applying on the website, I was first interviewed by Eileen from HR and then directly with Gunnar the CEO (took some time to schedule but communication was clear).
Then they flew me to Berlin, with lots of freedom and flexibility to organize my trip and get a good opportunity to explore the city. Busy day with onsite interviews : Engineering, Product Managers, HR again, CEO again, Business Development, Marketing.
No tricky questions, just sharing how I was doing product management (prioritization, innovation to delivery,), as well as leadership style (mentoring role, hiring mindset, eager to learn, ...). Simply to evaluate your mindset and get a sense of your attitude to see if it's a good match.
Shortly after I received the offer.
