Interview
I had a disappointing experience with this company. I had a good call with HR and then a quick call with the hiring manager. Then an easy coding challenge which is reviewed by a bot. Then another round with the hiring manager and the team. I think the company's requirements for the ideal candidate were not well-defined and the hiring process was unorganized. I would advise others to consider this before applying.

Interview

Interview
I had a deeply disappointing experience interviewing with eccenca GmbH (Leipzig). While the process started formally, it quickly became a frustrating journey marked by long silences, vague communication, and a final ghosting-like rejection that lacked transparency and respect.
I had an initial call with the HR representative in early April 2025, followed by a take-home technical assignment, which was exceptionally complex and took me 2–3 full days to complete. After submitting the assignment, I followed up respectfully, and a week later I was informed that it was well received, and I was invited to a technical interview with the CTO and engineering team.
The panel interview went well, with positive feedback. The CTO mentioned explicitly that due to public holidays, they’d follow up the following week. I waited patiently for two more weeks with no response — despite checking in politely. Then, out of nowhere, I was sent a one-paragraph rejection email saying they chose someone else, without any constructive feedback, after I had invested over a month in the process.
What really bothers me is not the rejection itself — that’s always a possibility — but the lack of honest communication, professional courtesy, and consideration for a candidate’s time and energy. It felt like I was a backup option the entire time, and they weren’t transparent enough to say it.
To those considering applying: unless you have time to spare and are okay with being potentially strung along for weeks without clarity, I’d suggest approaching with caution.
