I went through a lengthy interview process including a presentation in front of a full panel. I spent my entire weekend to prepare the case study. The entire interview process took me an over a month. And recruiter didn’t even bother to reach out to me even though she said she would keep me in the loop about the next steps. 2 weeks after my attempts at reaching out, she emailed me back and said. “The manager has decided to proceed forward with other candidates at this time”.
This behavior on the company side is unacceptable and disrespectful. Recruiters need to be responsive to candidates and the demands they place on them as a part of the interview process. Ghosting a candidate who has invested this amount of energy is outrageous. After investing emotionally and physically I think at least I deserve a personal email back.
