Stripline track is sandwiched between two substrate layers and ground planes. Microstrip has just one substrate layer and ground plane. Stripline is more immune to noise and does not radiate like microstrip does because of the isolation provided by ground planes. On the other hand, stripline fabrication process is much harder and integrating it with SMDs is troublesome.
