      I interviewed at Zylo

      Interview

Initial phone screen with the external recruiter went well (or so I thought). We talked about how I had used AI in the past as a tool to assist the tech writing function. I clarified that AI can possess some knowledge but no wisdom and so the tech writer's expertise is invaluable. I had some lingering questions about their exact plans for using AI, so I reached out again via email to the recruiter (who didn't answer) and the hiring manager (who, surprisingly, DID answer). The hiring manager kindly addressed all of my questions and concerns. We also discussed work styles, and I thought we aligned well. She asked if I felt assured and comfortable after getting those answers. I said yes and that I looked forward to continuing the interview process. I then spent a week researching additional AI tools. After some ghosting, the external recruiter then DQ'ed me.
