Met with recruiter and direct hiring manager - very interesting interaction for 1 hour meeting over zoom. Hiring influence noted I was overqualified for a contract to perm role. Ended up going with a way more junior person for the role, regardless was happy to take a contract role to prove my commitment and value. I left the conversation feeling as if the hiring manager simply did not like me. The role opened up again 6 months later and reapplied. A senior role opened up and followed up with the recruiter direct - recruiter said the hiring manager wants to go in a different direction - position was posted 3 more times on Linkedin. Questionable about the attrition and management of this program.
