      Web Developer Interview

      22 Mar 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Carlsbad, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Zoovy (Carlsbad, CA) in Jan 2013

      Interview

The hiring process was by far the most simple process I have ever experienced. It consisted of 2 interviews: 1 phone/email combo, 1 in person. The phone email interview was more of a screening process for both your skills and to see if you sounded like the kind of individual that is a good fit for the company. There was a Javascript/JSON/jQuery "quiz" sent to you that you had a limited amount of time to complete and return. This was perhaps the most difficult part of the process. If you were selected for a second interview, the focus then shifted to more of a meet and greet kind of deal. The technical questions were mixed into this process so casually, it did not feel nearly as pressuring as my previous experience with interviews had gone. You generally are offered the position either at the end of the interview or shortly after via email.

      Question 1

The quiz in the email is most definitely the most difficult part of the process.
