Interview
I had one phone interview with HR. The interview questions were standard, but I don't think the HR person fully understood what a business analyst is or does, which is unfortunate since this is the first screening step of their interviewing process. The conversation was very helpful because the job description wasn't entirely clear and I assumed this position was to work with customers. Instead, it was internal to work with customer advocates and it was explained to me that they grew fast and were now cleaning up the mess by hiring project managers and business analysts. That information didn't leave me excited about the position so I wasn't too disappointed when I received a very nice rejection email a month later. I did appreciate the communication and follow up.

In a technical interview, they asked, "Can you walk us through a challenging problem you solved and how you approached it?" I structured my response using the STAR method, highlighting the situation, my actions, and the impact. They followed up with, "What would you do differently if faced with the same problem again?" to assess my adaptability.
Interviewed for Salesforce.com role with Zendesk. He did not know Sales Operations, Marketing Strategies, Cloud Technology, CRM features. Did not want to discuss company, project tasks or requirements. Changed Topics. Awkward silences.
