I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zalando in Jun 2019
Interview
Applied online, passed the screening process with a junior profile.
First interview online on Hangouts, the interviewer is nice and it is basically talking about who, what, why you , and Zalando.
After that I got a technical test, which was supposed to be reviewed by the team.
I got 54% because of a silly "Int" instead of "Long" and didn't make it. If the team really did review the code, they should have considered something a trivial as this.
The test in itself was easy, 2 algorithms of sequence search in "binary" number, and a JS function that couldn't be tested, so you code blind.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Zalando in Jan 2023
Interview
Multiple steps: - First Contact Interview: Talk about the role with the recruiter - Get to know you: Talk about your expectations, experience, ... - Coding Challenge: codility, easy - Final interview (was not invited because the position was already filled). The interviews went smoothly, the recruiter seemed helpful and answered all questions. However, after I participated in the Coding Challenge (and scored 100%), I did not hear from them for several weeks, even after asking via email. In the end, I received an unsubstantial email with the excuse that the position has since been filled. Not providing any feedback and don't responding for several weeks surprised me, especially because it strongly contradicts their values (which often came up in the interview and preparation documents).
Interview questions [1]

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zalando (New Delhi) in May 2022
Interview
Online codility test
Hiring manager discussion
Live codility coding round
System design round
General Tech discussion
Outcome: All interviews went really well. Bottom line is, they can't give a compititive salary. If you are looking for a good salary in IT for your experience and expertise levels, then I strongly believe Zalando is definitely not the place for you.

I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Zalando (Berlin) in Nov 2019
Interview
Initial HR screening, Codility test with 2 tasks, 1h interview with hiring manager, followed by 5h session of pair programming, system design, general IT questions & HR interview.
Process was very slow, and took 2+ months for final offer. After each interview had to wait 1-2 weeks for feedback and schedule next steps for another 2 weeks.
Overall I would say experience was average at most. Some technical questions seemed silly and out of context of how actual work looks like, including typical questions like implementing singleton.
