Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. It appears as though we gave you a distinctly inaccurate impression of what we do and how we work, and I apologize for that.
We take great pride in being a Best Place to Work, and do promote that and work very hard to maintain an environment that keeps our staff engaged and happy. However, the work that we do isn’t a good fit for everyone. And, when it’s not a great fit, we like to find out during interview and not after onboarding when it’s disruptive.
The work that we do for our clients is challenging, though incredibly rewarding. Our nonprofit clients perform services that are vital to our communities – and it can be difficult and budgets are often tight. Nonprofit consulting work offers variety in many ways, including challenges both professional and personal. While this type of work is fulfilling to our team, it isn’t “typical”, and takes a specific combination of personality and skillset to succeed. We commit to being open and honest during our interviews in an effort to make sure that we make good hires – for both us and our staff members.
I assure you, after having recently celebrated my twelve year anniversary with YPTC, working here does not “suck”, nor do our clients. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to discuss further.
Sincerely,
Heidi Pelczar, COO, heidip@yptc.com
