The first stage of the process was announced as a "pre-interview", basically a one-way interview where you have to answer 3 questions to your webcam, with one minute to answer each. The answers to the questions were basically what you would include in a cover letter which is required when sending in your application.
The second stage was an online interview with one of the HR managers who was friendly, asked plenty of background questions like what kind of difficult situations did I encounter, and some follow up questions to what I answered in the one way interview.
They were also open to answer my questions about the working conditions and setup here's what I was told:
- Fully remote company
- Unlimited paid leave (as long as you get your work done)
- Independent contract work without a notice period, meaning that the working relationship can be terminated at any moment by any part. I asked if they considered using an employee of record setup, they said it's a possibility but not happening anytime soon.
- Equipment support - after a 3 month probation you are given a €750 euro equipment stipend for you to spend on anything to help with your working conditions (monitor, chair, desk, laptop, etc), you are expected to work with your own laptop
