I interviewed at Yellow Scene Magazine in Nov 2015
Interview
Spent a month playing phone tag with the owner/publisher, we talked for about twenty minutes on the phone, then told me to come in, meet her in person, and shadow the sales staff for a day. When I got there, she was late, and no one on staff had heard that I would be coming. When the owner finally showed up, she was told I was there, then disappeared into her office without speaking to me. After hanging around for a few hours, I asked a staffer if she could find out when the owner would be ready to talk to me. I was informed that she'd left and would be back. I never did talk to her in person, or hear from her again. I didn't get the job.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Yellow Scene Magazine (Erie, CO) in Nov 2015
Interview
The interview was a rambling, terrible dismantling of all my work. They asked me questions, but also made statements inferring that I had no idea what I was doing and, therefore, should freelance instead, although I had been offered the job via my phone interview and was confirmed to hire on.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Yellow Scene Magazine (Erie, CO) in Nov 2013
Interview
Very transparent, direct, clear. Problems and assets clearly discussed both in phone and in person. A shadow day was provided prior to position being offered. I appreciated the open, honest approach to the company. It made it easier to make a decision.
