The interview is pretty standard and the people are nice enough, but they will ghost you no matter how far you are in the process and how many nice things they have to say to your face.
Their job descriptions are also very tailored for the role, which is nice because it gives good insight into what they will ask.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at XiFin (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2023
Interview
Not a real interview, but a very strange screening call from the HR.
The first strange thing was that the HR dropped the call just after my answer. Ok, np, I wait for five minutes (no second call) and call back.
Then there was a pretty "unfriendly" resume review.
Then a short discussion, during which the HR person is insulted by me telling that one very popular Java Framework looks boring (or maybe the real reason is something else, and this was just an excuse to over the dialog). It was one of the most toxic and unprofessional dialog I had in my career.
Funny, sad and silly at the same time.
Received call from recruiter and she asked general questions, then it was 1 hour manager interview about both tech and general questions. Then onsite interview with several engineers and leads. They asked some basic tech questions.
