      Project Manager Interview

      21 Sept 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Xactly Corp. (London, England) in Aug 2017

      Interview

The HR team contacted me through Linkedin to ask if I was available for the interview, I was. The initial telephone interview took place and I was told by HR that they would contact their boss for a time to get back to me with regard to the next stage of the interview. Then I heard nothing. I contacted then contacted the HR person the following week to supply my email address for any feedback as they didn't actually ask for it. So after 2 weeks and noticing that the job posting is no longer listed on their site I can assume that there is no need to find out if the HR person's boss was available for interview. Personally, I believe if an employer approaches a candidate for an interview they should at least have the decency to give feedback after they have spent time preparing etc for it.

      Interview

Interviews were great but they went backwards, top down. Would recommend the top level associates talking to the team before the interview. The lack of communication was annoying and could have been avoided.

      Project Manager Interview

      15 Jun 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Denver, CO
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Xactly Corp. (Denver, CO) in May 2018

      Interview

I initially took a 30 minute assessment which was pretty straight forward. After that I had a phone screening with the recruiter and was recommended to the next stage. I then met over the phone on three separate interviews with managers in the company. They were tough interviews with high level managers who had a very deep background in Project Management and software. Finally, I was brought in for an in person interview at their new office in Denver. I was meeting with one of the managers I had met on the phone and interview was pretty much an in person review of the past 4 phone interviews. The questions were more related to the position specifically and logistics of starting the job. At this point I was fairly confident of getting an offer. The recruiter said I would be hearing back in about a week. 1 week went by without any communication, then 2 weeks. Finally on the third week she emailed saying they had been very busy and that I would take them another week before they could make a decision. Two weeks went by and I received a call from the recruiter asking me if I was still interested in the position and they would like to make me an offer. Here is where it turned a little strange, the recruiter explain that they would need a number from me and that they wouldnt be submitting a formal offer to me, just responding to my salary number. I explained that I wouldnt be comfortable accepting an offer unless I had a physical offer to review. She explained that they only present offers verbally and once you have accepted, they will send a physical offer. She also said every offer needed to be signed off by the CEO and thats why they need to know my number before making an offer. I politely declined the "offer".

Phone screen, then Aptitude and personality test. This lead to a video interview and re-taking of the Aptitude test. Finally, ghosting for a full month that ended with a generic email thanking me for my time.

      Question 1

The screen call and the video call were very basic. Just follow up questions about your resume and experiences.
