I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Workiva (Minneapolis, MN)
Interview
3 separate interviews; 1 with director, and 2 with team managers. Fairly straightforward questions, nothing incredibly difficult to answer. They seemed to be fixated on the fact that most of my career was heavily customer service focused, and was lacking experience in corporate sales. Overall I thought I had a great recruiting and interview experience and the three people I interviewed with were very nice and personable. After third interview, I didn’t hear back for about 2.5 weeks. Whilst I was waiting, I noticed on their Workday portal that the role I applied for had “Spanish Speaking” added to the title (Spanish Speaking was not originally in the title, nor was it a requirement when I applied, and it was never mentioned to me during my interviews that it was a requirement). Ultimately I was not offered the role, and I sent an email to them thanking them for the opportunity whilst also requesting feedback on my interviews. I never received a response back.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Workiva (Amsterdam) in Feb 2025
Interview
1) Filling out a questionnaire along side your CV, which is standard industry questionnaire.
2) Chat with a Recruiter - Its mainly to gather first hand what experience you have, the targets you worked with and your expectations.
3) Interview with the Hiring Manager, to understand what your qualifications are, if there is a language requirement they will most likely test in this call. Also just to understand how you will work together.
3) Is a panel interview with hire mangement and the hiring manager. You will need to prepare cases and they really want unterstand your thinking as a CSM and what decisions you will make.

Question 1

Interview
4 stage process.
1. With hiring manager.
2. With Director
3. With team
4. With Panel
Interviews 1 and 2 were straight forward. Pretty informal which is great but unstructured. Interview 3 questions were abit all over the place. A lot of questions were not relevant immediately relevant to the role. However the interviews were nice and friendly. One interviewer was a little quiet and the other was doing most of the heavy lifting.
Seems like they look for more of a culture fit than the right person. Good communications during process but 4 stages for a CSM role is out of order. Between each stage was about 2-3 weeks which is not the norm for SaaS. Pleasant experience with the team but the timeliness really did leave a bad impression. A stage in they did decide to switch up the process.

Interview
The recruiter was late for the interview and immediately after appearing said that they have 2 candidates for this role who are at the final stage and about to accept the offer. I was curious why someone is advertising if the role is almost taken. He also said that he needs to check with the hiring manager if extra language that wasn't listed in the Job Description is needed. He then promised to return back with update the other day and it never happened. Very weird attitude towards the candidates, as people are dedicating time to talk to you, preparing for the call. It is not coming across that you are a valuable person for them at all.
