For a company that builds HCM software, I was very unimpressed by my experience as a candidate. I was referred to the hiring manager who then had me go through a recruiter for first steps (i.e. phone screen, scheduling the interview, etc). Without notice, recruiter called me after 6pm and started giving me a technical interview about OO (not to schedule my interview with the HM which is what I thought the call was for and why I picked up in the first), which threw me off guard bc I was in a Lyft and I wasn't notified that I'd be having a technical interview so late in the day! Anyway, due to my being distracted/horrible connection, the recruiter told the HM that she was unimpressed by my performance during the tech test, but didn't let him know the circumstances. To make it worse, she almost sabotaged my first round with the HM because she didn't give me the time of interview until the MORNING OF the interview, and didn't inform me we'd be using a web portal for audio AND the tech test - which caused me to be 5 minutes late for the call (thankfully the HM was super understanding and called my cell). When I had to come in for my final round, I had a great time meeting all of my interviewers, but wasn't too pleased with the energy I was getting during my hour long tech interview in UML (the interviewers were not as helpful or nice as described by others on Glassdoor -- almost felt like since they were young they were being harder on me for kicks). Since this was my third technical interview with Workday (one in March 2016, other earlier September 2016) I thought I had done pretty well so I waited to hear back. After 3 weeks of waiting and no word, I reached out to the recruiter. She notified me that I had been rejected due to my performance during the technical interview and that she had emailed me awhile back with a formal rejection letter. I could not find the letter anywhere, even not in junk/spam, and asked her to forward the original since without my following up I would have been waiting to hear back... and she wouldn't provide it to me. She tried calling me, but since she wouldn't admit to never sending me a rejection letter in the first place, I told her we had nothing further to discuss -- and now she's trying to bother my friend at Workday who referred me...
