I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Worcester Communities (Kansas City, MO) in Dec 2019
Interview
It was an unusual, but great in-person interview. She asked the good and bad from every job I'd ever had in my life. Which brought up a lot of other interesting questions, from her, and from me as well. It was actually fun to talk about some of these jobs I hadn't thought about in years.
I also had another in-person hour long interview with 2 others a couple days later. It all went great and they seemed like incredibly friendly people. I was told I was one of two candidates left interviewing. I was very excited about the possibilities of taking on this new role.
Their recruiter asked me to follow up to let her know how it went. I called her soon after the same day (and left a VM) and also emailed her that day to thank them. And then also a few times in the following weeks to ask for updates. I also texted the recruiter, and tried to connect via Linkedin with both her and the interviewer.
I never heard one thing back from any of them.

Interview
I interviewed at 2 different properties and exchanged emails with someone from corporate. The first property, the manager (also holds a corporate ranking) had me in love with what the company stood for, and was super excited about my first Ellis shop results being so high. She said she would call me the next day to schedule my secondary interview and never did. A few days later, another property scheduled me to interview. I couldn’t make it and the sales manager was delighted to be accommodating. The prop manager and herself were absolutely amazing and kept speaking in future tense as if I had already been hired. The manager told me to go home and think about the salary range I “needed”, and to let him know the next day. After several days of leading me to believe I would be hired, they went a different direction; they continued looking for another several months. Corporate also stopped responding to my emails as well. First they were 100% invested and then weren’t.
