I applied online for the role in Jan 2021 and I was contacted in March for an interview.
The interview took place on Microsoft Teams and was mainly focused on my experiences.
Unfortunately, the hiring managers were clueless about the role and its responsibilities they were interviewing for.
After the interview, a couple of weeks went by and I still hadn't heard anything regarding the outcome. I decided to email the recruiter and requested an update, a week went by and I did not get a response to my email, I emailed again asking for an update. After two emails chasing for an update, the recruiter finally emailed me and said that she had left a voicemail, this was a blatant lie as I never received a call or voicemail from her. I kindly requested her to give me a call and she agreed, later in the day I got a call from her and I was informed they wanted to make me an offer.
The offer was £6k below my current salary and I just could not understand what had gone wrong. I made it clear on the application and in the interview my salary requirements.
To receive such an offer was an insult and a waste of my time. I informed the recruiter that the offer was unacceptable and she said she would check with the team and let me know. Weeks have gone by and I still have not had a response.
My experience with Wood has been frustrating and very disappointing.
