      Escalation Engineer Interview

      12 Feb 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Seattle, WA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wiz (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2025

      Interview

5 rounds of interviews not including a take home test. Take home test wasn't too difficult just time consuming including the time taken to interview. Ultimately no useful feedback provided by Wiz. Found out like 4 interviewers in that they wanted specific kind of skill which I didn't have, why not ask me that from the get go? Especially after taking a 4 hour take home test. This said advice would be to specifically ask for what skills they want instead taking a take home test as your first 3 or so interviewers will have no idea what they are hiring for. Perhaps interviewers don't talk to each other or are horrible at there jobs. My fault for not seeing this perhaps. Advice to others: I passed the technical tests and wasn't chosen don't waste your time interviewing here. Clearly ask what skills they are looking for. 3 different sets of interviewers that ask for very different skills and 1 recruiter that is unable to convey the skills she is looking for. Advice to company: if your looking for someone with specific skills ask for that, don't jerk people around and waste their time. If your looking for someone with vast Kubernetes experience then just say that....? Why say that on round 5 of the interview. I'd like the 7 or so hours of my life back.....
