The process was lengthy and confusing. The title of the role changed from “Junior Affiliate Specialist” to "Junior SEO Specialist (Affiliates)” in the middle of the interviewing process. While I had a screening call with the recruiter I had a clear message that this is an affiliate marketing position and not SEO as they have a team of SEO as a separate department. In the info about the interview preparation I was suggested to prepare answers regarding the company and affiliate marketing. First stage - had an interview with a member of the team. Had questions regarding affiliate marketing, the company, my understanding of the job role and situational examples, and not a single one regarding SEO itself. After, I got a home test with a series of tasks regarding content marketing and was cut off after that stage. The feedback I got was regarding the things related to SEO which I missed to include because never was asked to do so. Still not sure what job role they were trying to fill. Confusing experience in my opinion.
