I applied online and heard back quickly to schedule an interview. I interviewed with the Director and it was a nice, conversational type interview. She shared about the company and team being lean, the reason they're hiring contractually, and expectations of the job. She shared how they were looking to hire rather quickly so to expect it to move fast. I moved on to the next round of interviewing with the rest of the team (2 employees) and asked for a 90 minute window if possible. I submitted my times and followed up and was ghosted. I assume it's because they were going through an acquisition and announced after the fact. But it was extremely upsetting to move as quickly as they were saying, only to be ghosted with no explanation to any of my follow ups.
I think it was timing but I'm sure they're probably doing better now that they've acquired elvie. So they may have a larger team to help. Which in any case, is great for them!

Question 1
Tell me about a time you solved a problem and what the outcome was?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Willow Innovations in Oct 2022
Interview
I should have read the interview reviews here before throwing my hopes and excitement behind this company. I can clearly see based on the other reviews, their responses about ensuring these experiences never happen again was untrue.
After stringing me along for a month and putting me through 4x interviews and 1x chat with recruiter, and requesting that I “surprise” have a fifth interview, I finally got a call that they went with someone with more executive sales experience. The position is not even listed as a sales position, mind you I have many years of senior level sales experience in this exact arena.
To make matters worse, I had to constantly email and message the various points of contact I had, with each seemingly pointing the finger at the other, to attempt to button this up. Very disorganized and exactly what others have complained about. The ghosting for weeks at a time is unreal.
I started to feel the toxicity and red flags during this entire “strung out” process and actually told myself that I’d be contacting them and removing myself from consideration as to me, it’s complete disrespect.
I hope in the future they can re-evaluate their hiring process and be more respectful of candidates time, often ones who are already working full time and finding a way to squeeze all these interviews in.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
My last interview was so many weeks ago, I couldn’t tell you a question they asked me.
I had quite a weird experience interviewing with Willow, which left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
My initial phone screen was on a Friday. Recruiter #1 told me that the company has summer hours and recruiter #2 would reach out on Monday to get some days/times that worked for me for the hiring manager interview. I get that email from recruiter #2 around 11PM Sunday night. Around 11AM the following day, I get an email from recruiter #1 saying I didn't respond to the other recruiter's first email (sent not 12 hours earlier). It's Monday morning and I've just gotten my kids off to daycare and am working my full-time job. Either recruiter #2 lied about when the email was sent or there is some weird culture of urgency at Willow.
After my interview with hiring manager, she told me I'd hear back from the recruiter within the week. A week goes by, and I hear nothing. After a week and a half has gone by, I reach out to the recruiter and hear nothing. Once we hit 2 weeks following the interview, I email the recruiter again, and again hear nothing. Finally, I reach out to the hiring manager to ask what's going on. That's when I hear from the recruiter, finally.
