I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Philadelphia, PA)
Interview
I applied online and received a call the next day with a pre-screen phone interview. At the end of the interview I was asked to come into the store for another interview the next week.
I arrived a little early for my interview (dressed conservatively) and met with two ATLs who asked me normal interview questions as well as a hypothetical question about if I were a manager in a store I opened and how would I handle someone who wanted to return an empty container of food that they said they did not enjoy. The interview was very comfortable and it was easy to open up to the interviewers. After the interview they said they really liked me and asked me to come back in 2 days for another interview with their superior who likes to meet with every candidate.
I arrived early again (still dressed conservatively) and met with the superior, we went up to his office where he asked me similar questions to the last interview. It was also comfortable and he asked me what exactly I like about Whole Foods (do your research beforehand!) and I explained some Core Values I liked. At the end he invited me to come back to the floor with him to meet the Cashier Team Leader who then offered me the job!
Overall a great experience and I'm very excited to start working!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If I owned a store and a customer brought back an empty container of food that they said they did not enjoy, how would I handle the situation?
Name anything that would hold you back or make you nervous about joining the team.
Why should I hire you as opposed to other candidates?
Very simple, basic questions and received the job the next day. They asked me questions regarding company culture and my previous experience working with customer facing positions. I had two people interviewing me.
Very kind interviewer, short interview process with only one interview required. I was hired very quickly which was nice. I interviewer with the manager who was very welcoming and gave me the chance to ask any questions I had about the company as well.

Interview
Very short and straight to the point. Friendly people doing the interviews. Felt great and didn’t get nervous. They tell you the expectations on the spot to see if it’s actually something you’d like to continue with.
