I received a text from the co-hiring manager, not from HR, to schedule a phone interview. I conducted the phone interview, and was told that the next step would be an on-site interview. The position would require relocation, therefore the on-site interview would require me taking off work, which I did.
Just 2 business days before the scheduled on-site interview, I was told that it was being switched to a virtual interview (panel) for 30 minutes. Ok, I wasted a time off request, but ok, I get it.
The virtual interview was with 3 people, with the 4th invited person not showing up. I was bombarded with "quiz like" questions - which was rather insulting, but I played the game.
After the interview, they invited me on site (again), but this time was for real. They requested I bring 1 or 2 examples from my previous experience, along with a report/presentation from those event(s).
I responded with further clarification on the salary range, since they never answered my question previously, although I stated my salary need(s) from the beginning. Their "subjective" range to me was $20k less than my current salary. Again - no HR personnel was involved at all.
I withdrew myself from consideration.
