I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Whatnot in Aug 2023
Interview
It was very detailed and exciting. Several necessary steps must be taken to ensure the candidate is qualified. Candidates who perform well in the first round may be invited to a second-round interview. It was a great process.

What process changes did I find hard to deal with?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Whatnot (Phoenix, AZ) in Nov 2025
Interview
Recruiter was really nice. 1st call was about 15 min long. Very helpful.
2nd meeting was 40 min with a supervisor from a different department. He was very nice.
They asked and checked references and asked for a 3rd interview with the head of Trust and Safety. He was not friendly. Seemed bothered to be there. . I received an email the next day that they would not be extending an offer. A long process and completely awful to check references before considering if they were offering a position.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Whatnot in Jun 2025
Interview
Really easy and straight forward. I got all the way to the end (2 zoom interviews, 1 phone screen) and had to give them 3 references from 2 coworkers and 1 manager via a website they use. My last interview was with their VP (who showed up late but i gave them grace for it but made me feel unimportant)- in the end they ended up giving me the boot. Make sure to practice the STAR method, I get interview nervous and in the end it likely costed me a position.
