Very smooth. They simply explain to you the pay scale and how work goes. The ask you if you've ever worked in sales and try to see if you're open to selling to family and friends as well.
I interviewed at Western & Southern Life (Statesville, NC)
Interview
The interview process was good. They just wanted to know if you were a quality person, if you knew how to dress and carry yourself and if you were articulate and honest. It is a conservative company, so dress in conservative business suits.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They did not play the interview games and try to trick you. Everything was straightforward. Open and honest. They sincerely wanted to know who you were and if you were a fit for the company. No questions like "Tell me about a time when you had this or that situation" like inexperienced and insecure human resource people use.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Western & Southern Life
Interview
Phone interview and then a in person interview at their office. They did the STAR method when asking questions. Theses can be difficult if you do not prepare for them.
The hiring and interview process was not difficult. There are several questions that you are asked to determine if you are a good fit for the company. It costs them money to hire and they want to make sure they are getting the right person. They may ask you about a sales background or something of that nature.
