Interview
I had a phone interview about a month ago. The recruiter told me he would get back with me in ten days to give me an update on the position. Once again another company/organization did not follow through and left me high and dry with no answer. WGU lacks professional courtesy and I think their HR screening practices are highly dubious.

I had four interviews with WGU a few years back and felt optimistic about it - however, I did not get the job. I was a former employee - this was a couple of years after I left a particular position and this would have been a "promotion" for me, so-to-speak, (though it would have been less pay than I had made at the two jobs I'd held previous to this interview) - but I did not get the job. I'm now glad I didn't get it, because they have moved to being 100% in-office, so I would have eventually lost that job anyway. Also, their pay is not very good.

Interview
Three rounds of interviews were held. The first was with Human Resources, then the Instructional Design manager, then the Senior Manager. Each interview was about an hour. Pretty straight forward process. People were nice

Interview
I was contacted directly by a WGU internal recruiter through LinkedIn (I did not apply). The message was very polite and complimentary, stating that I sounded like a good fit, with an invitation to connect by phone to learn more about their opportunities. I scheduled a phone call time with the recruiter so I could learn more about their multiple opportunities. Their recruiter then kept me on the call 40 minutes and seemed to be giving me a formal interview that I was completely unprepared for. I was promised a follow up email to which I could respond with my resume. That email never came - I followed up with the recruiter myself through an email to which she never resodded. A couple of weeks later, I got a message through Linkedin that they had decided to go with other candidates. In retrospect, I feel that the recruiter simply wanted to learn inside information about the company where I currently work. She was VERY interested and asked several questions about my workplace, I am left questioning the whole experience and the true intentions of their internal recruiter.
