      Claims Examiner Interview

      2 Oct 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at WebTPA

      Interview

A few days after I applied for a role, I was contacted by a recruiter. I had applied for a remote role, but the recruiter informed me that it was for on-site work only. After my phone screening, I had an in-person interview. This was a panel interview with five people in total. Three were present on Teams. However, only one person was asking me questions, which defeats the purpose of a panel interview. It was more of a quiz than an actual interview. I was not even asked STAR method-type questions. I later discovered that the role I had interviewed for was for a different claim examiner position, specifically a Voluntary Claims Examiner, than the one I had applied for. Complete bait and switch! Be aware!

      Claims Examiner Interview

      8 Feb 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Irving, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at WebTPA (Irving, TX) in Dec 2023

      Interview

Having to edit my review because they removed it lol. Where do I begin? I was first approached by , let's just say a person very high up in the company through LinkedIn(Had to edit the specific title of this person because Glassdoor didn't like that) about an opening with this company that she thought I'd be a great fit for. A day or two later I met with her on a Teams meeting which lasted about 30 minutes. We mainly spoke about the company and the duties of the job and then we covered my work history along with my future goals. She then suggested I meet with several people at the company, but before this I had to complete a virtual video interview via hirevue. There were about 5 questions I got to record and submit my answer for along with two "games" at the end. Basically trying to see how you are with attention to detail and how smart you are. This next meeting took place about 3-4 days later and was a Teams meeting again with four people. It was a panel interview that lasted 45 minutes. The interview went really well. A few days passed and I was approached with setting up yet another interview with the hiring managers! So at this point I've already had two interviews and not one of them were with the hiring manager. We set up the next interview which was a few days later. It was a Teams meeting again and this very high up in the company person was present but off camera, one of the hiring managers was on camera with an off-putting look on her face while the other hiring manager was off camera the entire interview. This was more of a quiz more than it was an interview. After every response I gave the hiring manager that was off camera would say ooook?? Like what I said was stupid or didn't make sense. This interview lasted exactly 15 minutes on the dot and was very cold. The worst experience I've ever had in an interview. I waited exactly one week to hear back only for them to not directly reject me for this position but instead make a suggestion for another position they think I would be suitable for but in a different state?! Which that position is a claims examiner?!? Lol how does that make any sense? This company is a joke and everything happens for a reason. Do what you want and make your own decisions but please.. Do not let this company play with your emotions by feeding you false hope and please do not let them waste your time like they did mine. They mentioned their production was a very high number of claims per hour! Per hour! You read that right. (I had to edit the actual number cause Glassdoor didn't like that) Do what you wish with this information.
