I submitted my online application through the Wayne State job portal and then I was contacted via email to come in for an in person interview. The interviewers were very nice and the environment was not too stressful. Basically asked me to go over my resume and experiences listed on the resume.

Zoom meeting one on one with PI. Total interview took 45 minutes. Small talk in beginning. Asked about previous experiences. Asked about previous research. shared interests. Then focused on what the current role would look like. What the average week would consist of and if that was something you would like.

Overall process were simple and straightforward. .I posted a resume on university website, and a few days later , got an email for scheduling a phone interview.The manager of this research lab called me and after two days lab manager asked to come in for a face on interview with their team and the professor of the specific research program who posted the open position.The interview went well, we went over my background and skills, and in the following week professor called me and offered me this postion.
