Applied and was quickly set up to discuss my qualifications. Had a great interview with a recruiter and before the end of the session, he told me about next steps - interview with hiring manager in the next day or two days at the latest, invited to connected on LinkedIn, etc. We were both aligned on expectations and overall very positive. And that was it - ghosted. Sent him a few follow ups over the following 3 weeks. Not even the decency to respond let alone say they went a different direction . Unbelievably unprofessional. There was a WSJ article on this - I think this quote says it all: “Being ghosted may be a disappointment, but it probably saves you from a more lasting disappointment down the road,”
