      Customer Service Specialist Interview

      14 Mar 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Wayfair (New York, NY) in Mar 2018

      Interview

I have applied for full-time position, and they called me for phone Interview, when I applied they said u must have a bachelor degree or customer service experience, after phone interview, they called me and said you are not qualified for full-time position because you dont have enough experience! Which was weird because I do have a higher degree and at least 4 years of sales experience, then I had interview in person, the HR manager were very young, two of them interviewed me and they asked about my experience, my nationality, my current job...they also Asked about situations whith angry customer and how I handled that... after that there was a game with other candidates, my Interview process was good, I was confident, but day after they called me and said you are not qualified at all ! The thing I didn't like was when the HR manager asked me immediately where I am from ?, Does that really make a difference? Because I feel like his attitude changed after I answered that question. So I wont apply for wayfair anymore.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Wayfair (New York, NY)

      Interview

All I can say is WOW and that’s a resounding bad WOW! My first phone interview was set up for 3pm in which I was called at 3:15 and accidentally hung up instead of answering. My mistake.....I tried calling back but had no ext. # and was in the giant Main Wayfair number. I promptly reschedule for 10am and have received 3 emails advising me ...’starts in 24 hours’, ‘starts in 1 hour’, ‘starts-in 10min’. It’s now. 11am and no call. No wonder there are hundreds of job openings! There was also an assessment that took almost 2 hours because it kept getting stuck and that was at the library- also assessment could only be done on a desk top not iPAD or iphone- so odd for a tech savy company
