This is one of the worst experiences I've had interviewing with a company, as they didn't respect my time and ghosted me after accommodating their unorganized interviewing. The recruiter reached out to me a few days after applying for a designer role online. For the 1st round phone call, I was asked to reschedule twice. On both days, I was emailed to reschedule within the hour we were supposed to have our call. The day we finally had our call, I got an email that the recruiter was running late, so we started 15 minutes later than scheduled. In that call, the recruiter told me that she was looking to go through 3 rounds of interviews and hire somebody by the end of the week, a very quick turnaround. I made it to the 2nd round interview the next day with the manager for the role. He seemed unprepared, focusing only on key art and not giving straight answers to my questions about the team, the structure, why he joined the company, etc. When I spoke about my industry experience - particularly my freelancing, he mentioned several times how much he hated freelancing, which left a bad impression on me, and he didn't make an effort to build any type of connection in talking, but I emailed my thank you at the end of the day and kept pursuing the role as the company name is great for a resume. The recruiter emailed me asking how the interview went, and I replied saying I was hopeful for the role. She didn't respond to that email, and a week went by without word from the recruiter. I emailed her again asking for an update on the role, and she replied that she'd have an update within the next few days. I never heard from her again.
