I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (Singapore) in Jan 2015
Interview
The interviewer was a new joiner, she was smooth in sharing the company's background, process, system etc. But I'm really not sure what she wanted e.g. she kept rejecting my answers to "Tell me about your weakness" and "what makes you stand out from other candidates?" An example, I told her I was from a similar job scope, she told me a lot of others are from similar job scope as well. When I told her I had experience from similar industry, she asked me irrelevant questions to prove I am not well versed enough and bashed me down. Maybe I wasn't great enough for her, but I can feel she is constantly challenging than to really hear what you have to say.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me something about you that makes me want to hire you and not other candidates.
Interview process was a recruiter screen, hiring manager interview, Excel test, and panel final round with 3 other people. Process took about a month from start to finish, A week per interview stage.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company in Nov 2023
Interview
Slow moving process and ultimately ghosted. Submitted application end of month 1. Had first screener call end of month 2. In month 3, had first round interview with manager plus one excel test to be completed in one hours. In month 4, I had 3 back to back interviews and one final interview in the same week. The morning I received the final interview invite, the recruiter wanted me to complete the interview same-day. It's now month 6 and no word after a few follow up emails. Great people but poor process and bad look for the company to offer no decision after all of that.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company in Aug 2022
Interview
There is initially a call with the Recruiter. Once the recruiter identifies if you're a good fit for the role, there is an interview with the hiring manager. If the hiring manager thinks you're a strong candidate, there is an interview with another finance manager on the team. The last interview is with the VP of finance. After two weeks with no communication from Disney, I reached out to the recruiter to see if management came to a decision. The recruiter has not responded and it has been about three months since my last interview. I think it was very unprofessional for the company to interview me and not provide me with a courtesy email saying they went another direction. I expected more from Disney given their reputation.
