The interview process for the Walmart internship was organized and straightforward. Recruiters were professional, asked clear behavioral and situational questions, and communicated next steps promptly, making the experience stress-free and informative.
I applied through university. I interviewed at Walmart in Nov 2013
Interview
I applied online and I got an interview after about two weeks. The interview actually consists two parts: first a dinner the night before the actual interview with all interviewees and also two interviewers, and a formal interview on the following day. The questions were all behavioral and focused on communication skills and how to respond in some situations that may not be expected but actually happen a lot during the internship.

Question 1
Have you ever been to a situation that two priorities conflict each other? Or you have to be at two places at the same time?
I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart (New York, NY) in Oct 2025
Interview
It was pretty normal. I wouldn’t say it was any different than other interviews I’ve had with other potential employers. Some of the questions were hard, but some of them were really simple. I wondered how many people they were interviewing.
I applied through university. I interviewed at Walmart (Bentonville, AR)
Interview
Conversational, interviewed by 2 people. All questions had a negative spin to them, so be sure to practice the STAR method and concluding on a positive takeaway. From what I remember, there were 5-6 questions in total.
