I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Walmart Global Tech (Bentonville, AR) in Jun 2023
Interview
The interview process was relatively smooth. First round is with senior engineer through Karat. First 15 minutes are open response programming concept questions. Next 45 is LC live coding. Engineer was very helpful and relaxed. 2nd round was with Walmart senior engineer, also very relaxed. Entirely verbal, both technical and behavioral questions. Mainly version control, CI/CD, Git, etc. and leadership/soft-skill based questions. Relatively smooth process all around.
Very easy 45 minute interview, went over oa I had taken for them, particularly the part where we had been given a full stack app and asked to debug certain features. Asked a little about my other experiences.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Walk me through your thought process in debugging?
HackerRank OA with 2 questions. Live interview was reviewing HackerRank code and then a behavioral section. I've heard some people got a few technical conceptual questions during the live interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you failed (behavioral), talk about your approach to answering the HackerRank (technical).
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Walmart Global Tech (Bentonville, AR) in Oct 2025
Interview
Had a referral so skipped OA, went straight to Karat interview. Almost finished 2 problems and went to behavioral. Behavioral was really short and only lasted around 20 minutes but heard back in a week and got the offer.
