I had received an e-mail with the invitation to the interview in five days (via Zoom). Four days later the interview was canceled (I have received a notification less than 14 hours before the scheduled time). I was informed that the current faculty members had received their course loads and apparently there had been not enough teaching load for the new hires. I understand the COVID-19 pandemic-related complications and everything but why on earth sending me an invitation before the final decision on the teaching load distribution? Giving false hopes to applicants, especially nowadays ... Well, what else to say... The HR officer at least gave me an explanation and apologized on behalf of the school. A to HRs and F to the management.
