Do yourself a favor and pass on this place. This “UX” team is so basic. They running entirely on opinion based and assumption based design. Interview process was also evident of a really green design team, after speaking with one of the senior team members, they focused our entire time on tactical “How would you improve X feature?” and “What do you think this feature does?”
If you’re going to run a guerrilla usability test, at least compensate your participants. One of the key stakeholders also scheduled to attend stood the meeting up and was completely absent from this interview. Another red flag of lack of understanding and respect for candidates and their time.
No time was allotted to ask about the team, processes, UX maturity, or even long term vision of the company. Save your time and a commute to the west side and just pass on this place. Total waste of time. A message to the product design team: Good luck — you guys'll need it.
