I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at W1TTY in Nov 2023
Interview
I completely advise against this company. They are totally unprofessional. From the beginning of the recruitment process, they promised that there would only be two stages: an online platform test and a technical interview. Following this, there would be either an offer or feedback. After the second stage, they congratulated me and invited me to a meeting where they were supposed to present the offer and discuss our terms of cooperation. During that meeting, it turned out that the final decision had not yet been made, and I was supposed to get it on later that day. However, I did not receive any information from them for the next two weeks. After sending an email asking for an offer or feedback, I received the following response: "Unfortunately, after the interview, we decided that we cannot proceed with you. Reason for rejection: We selected other better profiles."
There were a total of 3 interviews. They offered a position for me to become their employee but offered me a contract as a service provider who cannot call himself an employee of the company. This was strange. They also included non compete statements that do not fall under the UAE law since they were hiring me for their UAE section.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at W1TTY (London, England) in Jun 2023
Interview
Its a waste of time, they give you 2 hour test after that a some devs came. One of the junior devs asked the questions. He asked the most bizarre questions, Probably the only question he left out was how to turn on a computer. He was confused about the questions he was asking as well.
Some of the questions were related to Java/Spring boot, but interviewer had no idea about what aspects are or what advice is in java.
some questions were system design related, I believe interviewer read some articles online and started asking generic questions, felt like just formality, interviewer could not do a proper discussion on the drawbacks of some of the designs and moved on the to next question quickly when I started to go in detail.
others were devops related, like whats the first word you write in docker, interviewer did not knew that about timeouts in kafta that was an awkward moment lol.
Saw so many red flags, especially for a bank not sure how bad there code is. also felt a little biased and racist.
Maybe a lot of politics or monopolies going on.
