I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at W. L. Gore & Associates (Phoenix, AZ) in Oct 2018
Interview
Spoke to a recruiter at an on campus career fair about New Graduate Engineering positions. I was selected for an on campus interview a couple weeks later, this was with two engineers and was a strict 30 min time slot. This initial interview focused on some stuff from my resume and a couple behavioral questions. A couple weeks after that I was selected for an on-site interview in Phoenix, Az. This consisted of 3 interview blocks with two people in each block, lasting 30 minutes each.
The on-site focused heavily on technical skills, problem solving, and working with ambiguity. There were definitely many questions that seemed to be purposefully misleading or poorly worded in order to see how you react to them. This was by far one of the most difficult and odd interviews I have had in my job search.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Given a picture of machine, with 3 knobs labeled A/B/C, told it produces some product and all the documentation has been lost for how the machine works and it is up to you to figure out how it works. The exact question, which in my opinion was worded oddly, was "What do the knobs do?"

Interview
There was a lag between application and feedback to scheduled an interview. The process was long and resulted in a panel
Interview with very well mannered, friendly, and professional personnel. Enjoyed speaking and asking questions to get their insight into the position and who they wanted to fill the role. Seems like a lovely place to work at.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at W. L. Gore & Associates in Jan 2023
Interview
Pre-screen call with HR. 3 rounds of pairs of interviewers from multiple functions that lasted approximately 3 hours. Lot of behavioral questions “tell me about a time”. The interview was conducted remotely through Teams.

Interview
It was long and not related to the job itself but was more related to the culture. This was fine but it was weird in hind sight because no one actually followed the culture. It is for show and marketing and not the reality of this place. Gore is more old-fashioned socially and in terms of technology than any other company I have worked for my entire career. This place is a dinosaur. I would not work here again, even if they did pay competitively. FYI, they don't. Do not expect to get an offer that reflects your experience if you are an experienced professional.
