Had a highly technical initial phone screen, and then was invited for an in-person interview with an engineering manager. First thing the manager did when we got into the meeting room was hand me a 5-6 page exam that had Mac, Linux, and Windows Server support sections. Kind of intimidating but not very difficult. When I completed the exam we had another very technical conversation. The interviewer gave me a bit of leeway and acknowledged that I was able figure out what to do, even in situations where I wasn't experienced enough to know the exact answer off the bat. I sent followup emails and tried to be persistent in checking on my status but was met with complete silence for several weeks after the in-person interview. When I was contacted again I was told they were going with a more experienced candidate.
