      Brokerage Operations Associate Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Vouch Insurance in May 2026

      Interview

I applied for Vouch April 2nd and was contacted via email for an interview April 23rd. I had a standard 30 minute recruiting interview and was asked if I was interviewing with other companies so they “knew how fast they needed to move.” April 29th I was contacted by the recruiter asking to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. I had a 30 minute interview with the hiring manager on May 1st. At the end of the interview, I was told that they would like to move forward with a series of 1:1 interviews with people I’d be working with daily (Senior Placements Team Lead, Client Services & Billing Operations Manager, and Senior Brokerage Ops Associate). I was scheduled to meet with the three potential peers on May 5th, but the Client Services & Billing Operations Manager no-call no-showed the interview room without an explanation. When interviewing with the Senior Brokerage Ops Associate, the employee admitted that they didn’t have insurance experience/knowledge outside of the brokerage and underwriting side. This made connecting difficult with answering the questions, as even though they were answered in the STAR method, it seemed that the Senior Brokerage Ops Associate had difficulty understanding how there were transferrable skills from front to back end insurance and made it seemingly clear she had decided that the transition was impossible (despite previous operations experience outside of Insurance, but still in FinTech). I emailed recruiting to advise them that one of the interviewers did not show. Our interview was rescheduled for the next day. Upon connecting, the employee didn’t mention anything about going MIA the day before or offer an apology for the impact to my time. However, we were able to have a positive interview nonetheless. I was not advised how long it would take to receive a follow up, but May 8th I was emailed that even after 5 interviews, they would not be proceeding with my application. I followed up with recruiting thanking them for the opportunity and asking for genuine feedback to improve, but was never replied to.
