The first stage was a 15 min informal phone call with the CEO, he asked questions like why do you want to join? What interests you about startups, and so on. Pretty standard first chat.
The second stage was a technical test, This was fun and easy to do (I'm a dev with 1 year experience).
The third stage was a 45 minute video interview with the CEO and the CTO. There were more behavioural and technical questions here. The CTO was great, he made the code review not feel like an attack and I was not anxious at all in his presence. Questions asked were similar to the first stage but just in front of the CTO and you can go a bit more on depth. There were also a few "tell me a time when" questions.
The final stage is a "Meet the Team" opportunity. This is less of an assessment and more of a confirmation of both sides. If you've made it to this stage, then it's likely that they are strongly considering you for the role!
