Really terrible interview / hiring practices. My husband and I both applied (my husband for a different job.)
He was called for the interview and set it up for the same week - he gave them full control and was willing to go in any day or time they wanted. He went for a 4 hour interview, got lots of positive feedback and was told when and how to follow-up. He was told to follow-up 2 weeks later which he did. The process dragged on for another 5 months of mostly unanswered emails and vague responses to a few until they finally told him they weren't interested. For him it wasn't so much that he didn't get the job - it happens. But the poor communication and lack of responsiveness when you are still being told you are being considered was frustrating.
For myself, I applied on LinkedIn for the position in the title. I was contacted by talent acquisition to set up a phone interview. I provided my availability for a one-week span (which was pretty open) and NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. I followed up with the recruiter 2 weeks later, giving him the benefit of the doubt that the Thanksgiving holiday had just passed and perhaps he had been out of the office, asking if he still wanted to set up a phone interview. My follow-up was 2 weeks ago and I still have not received any kind of response.
The job sounded like a great opportunity and I do know they offer a lot of great benefits but, honestly, after seeing how they treat candidates on two separate occasions it really makes me re-consider any desire to apply to any other positions with them in the future.
